Sheet Formers
Sheet Formers permit the preparation of a smooth and reproduceable handsheet to measure the optical and physical properties of a pulp, with a minimum of washing and contamination of the sample. All LABTECH Formers are constructed of 316 Stainless Steel. Bronze bushings are used to insure smooth operation of hinged components. The Grid Plate, Deckle, Sheet Mold, Drop leg and Sump are constructed of 316 Stainless Steel. The unique latch system is also constructed of solid stainless. An adjustable bronze wear plate insures a proper seal of the deckle against the sheet mold. All formers are supplied with 2 couch plates and 1 grid plate (150 or 120 mesh).
Standard Sheet Formers 200 Series
The 200-1 Standard Sheet Former includes all of the accessories required to prepare 159mm hand-sheets in accordance with the appropriate standards.

Semi-Automatic Sheet Formers 300 Series
The Semi-automatic Sheet Formers create standardized laboratory hand-sheets that allow the physical properties of the pulp to be evaluated. Semi-automatic operation eliminates operator influence, ensures high repeatability, and increases sheet output compared to standard sheet formers. No longer having to manipulate the heavy Couch Roll and cumbersome Stirrer is greatly appreciated by those producing a large number of hand-sheets, reducing operator fatigue. Labtech Semi-Automatic Sheet Formers are available in two models: Model 300-0 (Self-Contained version) and Model 300-1 (Bench version)

Model 300-0 (Self-Contained version)
Operation of the 300-0 Semi-Automatic Sheet Former is identical to that of the 300-1. The first 300-0 was ordered by a customer looking to save counter space in his laboratory. Since then, it is part of our product line.
